Root clearing and drying
Let’s start with the two layers Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches.
The characters listed in Heavenly Stems are explicit stems; after Earthly Branches is expanded according to the hidden stem table, the stems contained in the branches are obtained. To clear the roots, we usually start from Heavenly Stems, and check the corresponding root Qi of the same type in Earthly Branches; to clear the roots, we usually start from Earthly Branches, to check whether the hidden stems are found in Heavenly Stems. The two observation directions are opposite and may be established simultaneously in the same set of explicit-hidden correspondences.
Judgment one by one in three situations

The terminology of the root of the same stem and the root of the five elements can vary according to the school. When recording, it is better to directly write "Jia root is found in Yin Zang Jia" and "Wood type is found in Mao Zang Yi", which is more transparent than writing "yougen" in general.
Comprehensive case
If Xianqian sees A and C, Earthly Branches sees Yin and Zi. Yin Zang has Jia, Bing and Wu. It can be recorded that A has the same stem root in Yin, and B is also found in Yin Zang; Zizang Gui, for A, is 正印. Here, there are at least two types of paths supporting A: root energy and seal birth, and C belongs to the 食神 born of A. All relationships cannot be accumulated into the same "gang status".
If we add the Wu branch, we can observe the relationship between Bing fire and the fire root Qi; however, since Dingji is hidden in Wu, it is not appropriate to write it as "Bing is directly hidden in Wu". Writing out the actual Tibetans can avoid forced table changes.
Does the root energy disappear after the combined clash?
When encountering relationships such as Yin Shen Chong and Zi Wu Chong, first remember the original root Qi, and then record the conflict and the adopted interpretation. You cannot mechanically delete a certain Earthly Branches and all its hidden stems, nor can you describe "affected" as a precisely measurable reduction of 50%. There are other conditions for whether Hehua is established, seecombined punishment。
Record template before judging strength
"A certain stem is located in a certain pillar; a certain branch of Earthly Branches contains a certain stem; it belongs to the same stem or supports the same five elements; what is its relationship with the moon order; whether it also participates in other conjunctions; use a certain text explanation." If the following conditions are missing, only the revealed facts will be reported, and the final strength or weakness judgment will not be made rashly.
