Ten-God Combinations and Luck Techniques

Purpose

Once single-stem Ten Gods are fixed, read combinations and luck overlays. This does not replace Reading Order; it expands steps 2–5 of that pipeline.

General combination rules

  1. Fix Day Master strength before discussing favorable/unfavorable combinations.
  2. Same-pillar, adjacent, and rooted combinations outweigh distant ones.
  3. A combination yields a “structural proposition”; then use luck cycles to see whether it is activated.

Common structural propositions (examples)

CombinationStructural proposition (must weigh strength)
Hurting Officer sees OfficerTension between talent/expression and norms/duty
Wealth generates OfficerResources convert into duty or evaluation
Killings and Resource generate each otherPressure transforms via Resource into a workable path
Eating God controls KillingsTalent/expression checks strong pressure
Officer and Resource generate each otherNorms and learning support each other
Peer/Rob Wealth seize WealthDivision, partnership splits, or cash-flow fragmentation
Wealth damages ResourceBusiness affairs strike learning / noble-support footing

Each maps to specific Ten-God entries; the table is a checklist, not a luck verdict.

Luck-overlay checklist

For the current luck cycle and annual pillar, ask in turn:

  1. What Ten Gods do the incoming stems/branches bring?
  2. Do they support the Useful-God orientation, or break it?
  3. Do they activate natal clashes/combinations (e.g. luck branch clashes day branch)?
  4. Do they worsen an existing “disease,” or supply a “remedy”?
  5. Does the conclusion exceed what four pillars can support (no birth hour, etc.)?

Boundaries

  • Combination names are not event names.
  • When many combinations coexist, rank by weight; do not average them flat.
  • Confidence falls with birth-time precision and school consistency.
